| The Department of Labor announced that as of October 1st, 2007, the Labor Certification Backlog was eliminated. According to the Department of Labor, 99% of the labor certifications have been completed with the remaining 1% awaiting responses from the employers. Therefore, if you had a non-PERM labor certification pending and your employer or the attorney have not received any correspondence from the Department of Labor, there is probably a problem. The Department of Labor has issued Backlog FAQs “Round 7” which can be read at www.foreignlaborcert.doleta.gov |
